Yes, we accept donations of childrens and adults bicycles in any condition. These donated bikes are used in our Build-A-Bike program, where a participant will learn how to repair it themselves and get to take it home at the end of the program.

You can drop off your bike Monday to Sunday, 10 am - 6pm, at 242.5 Queen Street East, Toronto (located near the intersection of Queen and Sherbourne). When you enter the store, let us know that you are dropping off a bike donation for Charlie’s FreeWheels, and someone will help you from there.

Our Build-A-Bike programming typically runs every year during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Registration typically opens 2-3 weeks before the next session. If you missed the deadline, you can always come apply in the next season.

We welcome all bike riding skill levels in our programs! Our instructors are happy to teach you. Over the years we have taught hundreds of youth how to ride bikes, including older youth who never learned to ride as young children.

Our programs are free for youth aged 12-25. Unfortunately we do not make exceptions for those outside of the age range.
